About Jen

Jen’s love for baking started very young. She would check out cook books at the local library and experiment at home. Her family loved her experiments, and it made her happy when people enjoyed her treats.

She is not formally trained but did take a few classes when her Mom suggested they try to make a wedding cake. Despite their best efforts, they both quickly realized baking and decorating wasn’t as easy as it looked. But the challenge only pushed her to expand her baking talents.

Fast forward many years and encouragement from family and friends, Jen baked all the time and perfected the art of cookie making. After the birth of her sons, she started baking lactation cookies to help increasing her breastmilk supply. The results were amazing, so she decided to start to offer them to other moms. Organically her business, Liquid Gold Booster, grew and she helped many local and even distant moms with their lactation goals in a delicious and effective manner.

Now, many years after her own breastfeeding journey ended, and after lots of her son’s birthday parties, sports celebrations, and her own celebrations, Jen decided she had a bit of knack for baking not just lactation cookies, but cookie cakes, decorated sugar cookies, cupcakes, and pretty much any cookie under the sun. Thus it was time to morph Liquid Gold Booster in to Jen Bakes Cookies.

So, Jen Bakes Cookies was born. And today, Jen would love to tackle (almost) any cookie baking challenge you throw at her.
